What are women up to when they head online? comScore, a marketing research company, tries to answer just that in a report issued recently, entitled Women on the Web: How Women are Shaping the Internet. The study takes an in-depth look at the female internet user and reveals some interesting trends.

According to the study, women spend 30 percent more time on social networking sites than men do. This got me curious. Using the Facebook application “Friend Stat” I learned that of my friends who list their gender on the popular networking site 55% are female.

Women are the target demographic audience for several of our clients and as an agency we will continue strive to connect with this key category on the social media channels they trust.
